Susan Hawthorne #158 minds

minds are invisible worlds
even we don't always
understand our own minds
we change our minds
we turn our minds to a subject
we subject our minds
to learning a language
a schema a system that opens
new thought like mathematics
or mythology our minds are
peopled with animals and
plant phyla with sounds
we and others make
landscapes and country
make us as do city lanes
and underground societies
of artistic rebelliousness

  1. I really enjoyed this, thank you. I was just playing with a draft of a poem called "my mind". I was going to throw it away but after reading this I feel like it might be serendipitous to do something with it for tomorrow..... thank you for the inspiration!
