The kitchen sink
was oblique with me
its mouth somewhere
between flower
and sex toy was gulping
on breakfast in
an untenable way
I didn’t have
the temerity to ask
the meaning of this
for it seemed busy
swallowing leftovers
being provocative
sluicing it all
in the bowl
of its unspecified self
such an unsettling
anthropomorphized
moment so early
I think I need
another coffee.
